Chargebacks
Customer expressly authorizes lightingtheweb.com to direct the stipulated payment/charge to be made to Customer's credit card account (the same being the credit card account used in the initial purchase of said product) in the amount of said "total amount" to lightingtheweb.com for such reimbursement, plus a twenty-five percent (25%) administrative fee to cover the costs and time involved with this process. Customer acknowledges and agrees that the policy set forth in this paragraph provides for reimbursement to Lightingtheweb.com for fees incurred, is fair and reasonable and is not a penalty clause or provision. If a charge back is initiated no returns will be accepted by lightingtheweb.com

Return Policy In
order to provide our customers with the lowest prices on the internet.
Lightingtheweb.com will no longer accept returns on orders after 2/13/2012.
Items that are received damaged or have broken glass. Will be replaced
as per our damaged product policy. Refused shipments will fall under our
refused shipment policy. This can be found in the terms below. Standard Return Policy On Orders Before 2/13/2012
1. The merchandise must be in re-saleable condition, in its original carton, including all packaging materials and accessories. Must be in resellable condition, exmple no writing on box including return address or shipping address. Must only have return shipping label. 2. Merchandise must not have been installed or altered in any way. 3. Customer is responsible for shipping. 4. No returns will be allowed for Discount or Clearance products, except for damaged or defective shipments. 5. No returns on bulb or part orders. 6. No returns on custom ordered products. 7. Claims after 30 days of receipt are not eligible for return or replacement. 8. Buyer is resposable for all return shipping costs. 9. All returns will incur a 20% restocking fee

(To start the RGA process please email ltw@lightingtheweb.com and request a return authorization including all your information including order number, address, item being returned and reason for return. A RGA number will be issued within 24-48 hours with all the information you need to return the item including 20% Restocking fee that will be deducted from the refund.) RETURNS PROCESS
To return an item, please e-mail customer service at ltw@lightingtheweb.com to request a Return Merchandise Authorization. Allow 2-3 business days for the RGA number to be issued. We will then inform you of all return fees which will be deducted from your refund,. issue an RMA number, and issue credit within 30 DAYS of receiving and inspecting the returned merchandise. It is recommended that you insure all returns as no refunds will be issued for items damaged during shipment, at which time you would need to file a claim with the shipping carrier to be reimbursed. .** Note it may take up to two weeks to get a RMA number from the manufacture for orders shipped directly from them** RETURN PACKAGING
We ask that our customers neatly open all packages and retain all packaging materials including overwraps(double-boxing) until their items have been installed and are verified to be working. All returned items must be in original manufacturer cartons with original accessories, and overwrapped in the fashion they were shipped. Any missing packaging may incur a fee, so please. Please use insured UPS, Fed Ex or DHL to return items, once authorized. Federal Express and DHL have a poor track record with keeping packages safe. Please do not send items USPS. Items sent USPS that require pick up from the post office will not be picked up. This means the item will be sent back to you with no credit. Please use UPS, Fed ex, Or DHL which deliver directly to us. Make sure to insure your shipment. Items that are received damaged will not be returned or credited. You must file a claim with fed ex or ups to be reimbursed for damaged products. REFUNDS
Lightingtheweb.com will refund or pay shipping costs associated with an error on our part only. You will receive a refund less any applicable return, cancellation or restocking fees within 30 DAYS of our receiving and inspecting the returned merchandise. No refunds will be given for merchandise damaged during shipment, so please insure all returns. Customer will not incur any fees on items that are discontinued or backordered since this is beyond the customer's control (except for items whose description implicitly states backorders are common including but not limited to manufacturers such as Visual Comfort) Customer is responsible for paying all shipping costs to return items. Restocking fee may be up to 25% depending on the brand. (The refund restocking fee will be calculated off of full product price not the amount for any trade discounts, Sale price or quanity discount orders. Then this 20% restocking will be deducted from the sale price or trade discount.) All items damaged during shipping must be reported within 72 hours of delivery otherwise no exchanges will be approved. Please inspect all packages prior to signing for them. If any damage is visible, refuse the package and note damage of each package along with its tracking number. If damage is discovered after unpacking, please e-mail us your order # in the subject of the email along with a listing of each damaged item, part number, quantity, shipping method and tracking number to ltw@lightingtheweb.com If the item can be repaired using repair parts, you will be notified of this option. If the manufacturer instructs the customer to "field-destroy" the item, the customer is responsible for any associated costs.We will not responsible for any electrician, contractor or ant other associated costs related to installing or repairing any manufacturer-defective products. Products that are damaged or defective may have delays in replacement parts and availability. Damaged products will either have replacement parts or glass sent to fixed damaged items at no cost to you. If the damage is more substantial a new fixture will be sent at no cost. Items that are returned because of damage or defects with out replacement parts being sent are subject to a 20% restocking fee. MISSING PRODUCTS
Any items missing from your shipment must be reported within 5 days from the date of delivery as noted by the carrier's tracking number. No claims for missing items will be accepted or honored past 5 days from the date of delivery. DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS
All defective items must be reported within 72 hours of delivery otherwise no exchanges will be approved products are products that do not operate properly, or have other damage that was not the result of shipping damage. These products will be replaced under the manufacturer's warranty and replacement policies. The customer will be responsible if any expedited or special shipping is required. If the manufacturer instructs the customer to "field-destroy" the item, the customer is responsible for any associated costs. We will not responsible for any electrician, contractor or ant other associated costs related to installing or repairing any manufacturer-defective products. Ballasts carry a 5 year limited warranty. Products that are damaged or defective may have delays in replacement parts and availability. Items that are returned because of damage or defects with out replacement parts being sent are subject to a 20% restocking fee. BROKEN GLASS & PARTS
Broken parts including, but not limited to Glass, Diffusers, Lenses, Shades, Alabaster, Mica are not considered to be a product defect but are eligible for replacements from the manufacturer. Broken parts must be reported within 72 hours of delivery otherwise no replacements will be approved. E-mail us at ltw@lightingtheweb.com to have replacement parts shipped to you at no cost. The customer is responsible for any Expedited or special shipping charges. We will not responsible for any electrician, contractor or any other associated costs related to installing or repairing any manufacturer-defective parts or glass. Products that are damaged or defective may have delays in replacement parts and availability. Items that are returned because of damage or defects with out replacement parts being sent are subject to a 20% restocking fee. PRODUCT EXCHANGES

You must obtain authorization from Lighting the web to refuse a shipment. If a shipment is refused without prior authorization, you will be subject to restocking fees which could total over 50% of the item's purchase price as well as return shipping charges, which may be significant when shipped by Truck Freight. SHIPPING TO AK, PR, HI
Orders bound for Alaska, Puerto Rico or Hawaii will have additional shipping charges applied after checkout, with notification by e-mail. Please call for approximate shipping charges to AK, PR, HI before ordering. If an AK, PR, HI order is cancelled, there will be a 7% fee incurred to any refund. SHIPPING TO CANADA
You will be responsable for all duty taxes and brokerage fee's. These are none refundable. The customer is responsible for entering the correct billing address and zip code for their credit card during checkout. To verify an address, all credit card processors place a temporary hold or authorization on the customer's card, at which point the billing address and zip code is verified electronically. If the address or zip code is incorrect, the charge is declined, but the hold or authorization remains in place for a number of days, which is not under the control of Lighting On The Net, but a matter of the customer's bank's policies. If the customer attempts to pay for an order multiple times with an incorrect address, multiple holds or authorizations may be placed on the card, and the time it takes to release them is not under our control. All product descriptions and photography is provided by the manufacturer. Pictures are not available for every finish, paint or style of an item so pictures of related items are substituted. We are not responsible for the way an item looks once installed or for any description inconsistencies with the manufacturer's product specifications. Please always verify all product information with a manufacturer's catalog or sales people before placing an order. All products are warranted by the manufacturer, usually for one year, unless otherwise noted with the exception of light bulbs which are rated to perform satisfactorily to the industry standard burning hours. Please contact the manufacturer directly for product warranty information. For all Altech/RP, Deep Roof and DG Kimma products, abuse of product, improper installation, incorrect or reverse voltage, power surges invalidate warranty which is to be determined at our sole discretion BACK ORDERS
